Hi all, it’s been a while, I know. As many of you know I work in a disability service and we’ve been smashed this month with the Omicron variants. I’m up to date with boosters so I’ve been pulling so many shifts, I’ve almost forgotten “normal” life. Staff and clients have been out of action but no one has been hospitalised, so that’s a good thing. 

Anyway, I’ve continued to monitor and collect stories so this episode will attempt to squeeze a month’s worth into one. Buckle up, it’s been a hell of a month!

An interesting paper has been produced by Meat and Livestock Australia entitled: Asparagopsis feedlot feeding trial. Now if we put aside the feedlot portion of the trial, the seaweed effect is quite remarkable. Asparagopsis is a red seaweed. The results are spectacular. Continue reading →

Meat is Bad, Okay?

As we covered back in episode 272: Methane, the arguments against the continuation of certain agricultural practices may be based in opinions rather than a critical analysis of the science. And if we get it wrong, we could be driving towards a hell on earth. And that destination is not in my satnav. What a quaint word, satnav. I’ve never used one and maps, Apple or Google does what those horrendously expensive toys used to do. They have gone the way of the pager, the fax and the typewriter.
